An Inside Look at The Banking Hall: One of London’s Most Iconic Venues For Luxury Weddings
London Luxury Wedding Venue | The Banking Hall is a central London venue that brims with art deco charm and historic grandeur. Think towering columns, vintage-patterned floors, sweeping marble, and intricately carved detailing.
It was designed in the 1930s and was the headquarters for Lloyd’s Bank until 2002. History and authenticity envelop the space, which is why Camm & Hooper snatched it up and turned it into one of their edgy and innovative venues that’s now become a sought-after wedding space.
The Banking Hall doesn’t walk the line of drab and look-alike spaces. It’s vintage, unique, glamorous and classic for all the right reasons.
I’m going to give you an unorthodox tour by showcasing some of the couples who’ve gotten married at The Banking Hall and how they’ve transformed the space to fit their own unique styles and personalities.
A Banking Hall Backdrop
From the main hall to the staircase to the street outside, the Banking Hall sets the perfect backdrop.
Banking Hall Setups & Spaces
The Banking Hall has two spaces: the Main Hall and the Counting Room. The Main Hall has striking high ceilings, large marble columns, and a grand entrance that’s breathtaking. The staircase is the main feature and a guest favorite for beautiful shots and selfies, of course.
Natural light pours into the Counting Room during the daytime through its many windows and it features beautiful views that overlook the city. It’s sophisticated, stylish, and has a secluded and mysterious air to it. It also features its very own bar.
Take a look at how the space has been styled and set up to take on each unique wedding design. This venue has enough class and grandeur that it doesn’t need much to transform it for a wedding, but with a few personal touches and sprinkles of individuality, it comes alive.
Speciality Services and One-of-a-Kind Gin Infusions
The Banking Hall offers complete, stress-free catering and bar services for couples (including wait staff), but one of my most favorite offerings is their signature gin infusions. Top of the line gin is infused with local herbs, fruit, and spices to create divine drinks based on their perfected recipes, BUT they also allow couples who get married there to create their own signature gin. How amazing is that?
Couples can create the most unusual or traditional infusions. Their Chief Booze Engineer has infused everything from Movie Theatre Popcorn flavour to Plum flavoured to Blue Cheese flavoured gin and more. In addition to their gin infusions, they also have a drinks and cocktail menu that is over 50-strong.
