Highground Villa with panoramic views of Kigali
This is definitely home away from home for me. My first visit to Kigali, I stayed here and the lovely owner Claude was so hospitable that the second time I was in Kigali, I stayed here with my whole entire team.
Highground Villa is the most peaceful place. They also have incredible food! Each morning, I looked forward to the healthy breakfast with sweet avocados. Claude, his wife, and his brother Jean are the most lovely people I have ever met. His wife also has a small crafts shop in the reception area and it is great for last minute souvenirs or incredible finds to take home and cherish.
If you love staying close to the airport and town center when you’re on holiday or a work trip, then you’ll love the accessibility of Highground Villa, especially because the food, staff, and stay are incredible.
Highground villa has panoramic views of Kigali. Just a 15-minute drive from Kigali airport and a 10-minute drive from town, this amazing villa is perfect for those who want a beautiful view along with close proximity to the beat of the city.
Sitting atop Rebero Mountain, guests not only get a remarkable view of Kigali but also of the rolling hills that Rwanda is known for. Gardens blooming with color surround the villa and private balconies offer tranquil views that steady the heart and quiet the mind.
Highground villa offers single-room guesthouses, apartment-style villas, and allows larger groups to book out the entire villa for short or long-term holidays. Villas come in 3 and 4-bedroom options that vary between multiple queen beds to multiple twin beds. In total, the villa boasts 12 rooms, 12 bathrooms, and 4 kitchens.
Rooms
The rooms at the villa are modern, chic, and simplistic. From natural wood tables and shelves to hand-made furniture, decor, and artwork, the villa is full of authentic Rwandan charm.
Each room has wifi, a workspace, living room, shower, and bath, and all four of the apartments have a kitchen, allowing you to easily prepare dinner for a night in or stock up with groceries and prepare on-the-go snacks and meals while you’re out and about touring.

The Highground Villa is for those who love self-sufficiency, efficiency, and practicality. With your own kitchen and the close proximity to Kigali, there isn’t an onsite restaurant or continental breakfast. You’re able to purchase groceries or hop into Kigali for all of your dining needs. The remarkable views and location make it great for those who want to take in the Kigali dining experience but also have the option to cook meals and pack lunches in their own kitchen.
