Covent Garden Hotel—A Boutique London Hotel

Covent Garden Hotel is one of my favorite boutique hotels under the Firmdale Hotels brand. It’s like a hotel away from home. The guest lounges are amazing and they have what they call the “honesty bar” where you can make yourself a free snack or drink. You know those nights at home when you wander to the fridge in your pjs? This has that kind of feel. Wander to it and pick up something munchie or a nice soothing drink.

When you walk into the hotel you feel as if you’re in a grande, historic place that’s reminiscent of the London of old. Thick embroidered curtains are drawn back and maple wood panels and molding create a dim ambiance that feels soothing and familiar.

It’s the perfect place for afternoon tea and the ambiance is quintessential London. I have their candle and home scents at home because I love their aesthetic and ambiance soooo much.

The Covent Garden Hotel is just a short walk from the Royal Opera House and Soho. It’s also right in the mix of some of London’s hottest nightclubs, cafes, restaurants, and bars.

Covent Garden is located on a cobblestone street full of charm. Boutique shops flank the hotel and the neighborhood is incredibly walkable with friendly people and young families enjoying afternoon outings, date nights, fun shopping trips, and more.

Rooms

The hotel features 58 bedrooms and suites that are fully equipped with wifi, flat-screen TVs, and bluetooth Bose units. Each room boasts charming English style and is filled with unique characters, fabrics, decor accents, and cute seating areas. They offer everything from interconnecting rooms for large families to luxury rooms to junior suites and no matter what room you’re in, you truly get that boutique hotel experience.

Your Stay, Experiences, and Dining Options

Brasserie Max is the hotel’s restaurant, which always features a menu made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The restaurant is open both to staying guests and the public so whether you’re staying at the hotel or just want a nice bite to eat before the opera, it’s the perfect place for a lovely lunch or dinner.

Nestled in the heart of London, there’s really so much to do in the area. Some of the shops nearby include Coco De Mer, Fresh, Mammoth Coffee, and Miller Harris, which is a lovely fragrance and perfume shop.

Neil’s Yard is a super fun courtyard with lots of outdoor dining tables, cafes, and retailers. It’s perfect for an afternoon lunch and shopping trip with friends or day out with the family. Check out my London city guide for more of London’s top activities, adventures, restaurants, and places.
