A Real Bali Wedding to Inspire

(Plus a Bali Engagement Photo Shoot)

When you’re newly engaged, there’s nothing more exciting and inspiring than browsing real weddings and gleaning from the decor, dress choices, color palette, location, and more. Real wedding photos show us what’s possible and give us glimpses into our own preferences. They help you decide what you want to do ( and might not want to do).

In today’s real wedding feature, I have some lovely Bali engagement photos and wedding photos to stir your creativity and spark some ideas.

A Bali Engagement Shoot

The Backdrops and Playing with Locations

For their engagement shoot, this couple took advantage of the beautiful backdrops and locations that Bali naturally has in abundance.

From steep cliffs with startling ocean views to ancient temple ruins, Bali offers a plethora of inspiration and locations for engagement shoots. This couple had fun on a makeshift “island” in the middle of a lake, canoed together, walked arm in arm along the beach, and held each other on a cliff top.

The Engagement Looks

The bride-to-be wore a vibrant red dress that oozed elegance, grace, and poise. It created a striking contrast against the stone walls and landscape.

By going barefoot in some images, she dressed down her outfit and added an element of ease and comfort that demonstrates that while she’s all dressed up, she isn’t afraid to let her hair down and explore.

Keeping up with her red look, the bride-to-be wore an adorable red, lace short outfit for shots on the beach

The groom-to-be highlighted his personality with a couple of laid back looks that included a short-sleeve button down top and a pair of nice jeans worn down in shots and rolled up to show an element of fun and play while on the beach.

The Looks

For the wedding, the bride wore a stunning, princess gown with intricate detail and a long train. With beautiful detailing and a sheer, button-down back, every inch of her wedding dress was fit for the beauty of the ball.

The groom wore the chic black suit and added some contrast with camel brown men’s dress shoes.

Dining and Decor

The venue was already a beautiful space that required very little additional decor and design. With its unique geometric shapes, poolside setting, chandeliers, and remarkable views, it provided a stage already set for a beautiful affair.

Guests dined around two long dining tables and servers wearing traditional dress treated guests to a cultural experience.

I hope these images inspired you around the possibilities for your own engagement shoot and wedding.
